Theodore Thorpe, III is a multifaceted, master musician. 

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Theodore began his musical training when he studied piano at just four years old. Today, Theodore is a well-recognized talent, being celebrated as a musical director, conductor, pianist, vocalist, organist, composer, arranger, and choral master. He presently serves in his sixteenth season as music director and staff musician at Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA and his twelfth season as Director of Choral Activities at Alexandria City High School (formerly T.C. Williams High School). Theodore’s musical talents have been recognized for exemplifying musical excellence, with notable performances at major historical performing arts centers including Carnegie Hall, the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, the Strathmore Music Center, and the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. 

Theodore and his wife Jennifer happily reside just outside Washington, DC. He continues to work passionately toward making a difference in education, in the lives of young people, while blazing a trail for upcoming musicians.
